This headphone radio was a prize that John brought home from a computer show years ago and it just sits on my desk taking up space now. I think the batteries are dead...I can't remember the last time I used it.
A week ago yesterday, John and I visited the North Carolina Museum of Art. I was very impressed with the realism of the glass, shown here, in a painting by JanJansz. den Uyl, so I moved in to take a closeup photo. I'd show you my picture of the entire painting, but I wasn't happy with how that came out, so if you want to see what this tiny section looks like in context, please take a look at it HERE.
Here's Lizzie in the carrier she has now made her own personal bed. Coincidentally, just yesterday she managed to get her collar off and we have not been able to find it in our house, although it HAS to be here somewhere. Anyone finding the missing collar is encouraged to call the number on Lizzie's microchip tag
Looking thru the surface of the drinking water we leave out for some feral cats who live in the woods behind our townhouse. It finally got cold enough yesterday for their water to freeze solid, I think it was probably the coldest day we've had so far here.
Since I promised myself I wasn't going to ever re-post photos for the entries in this blog, you're looking at the "best" macro I shot this year that I haven't used yet. Although "best" is so subjective, IMO, maybe I should call it my favorite?
And below is a sampling of thumbnails of my favorite macros that have been previously posted in this blog, all taken in 2008:
When I got a new camera, I started feeling ambitious. I've been entering my very ordinary snapshots on every photo meme site I can find. Maybe there's someone out there who won't think they're all just awful!
I would really love to hear what people think. I've also added the ratings recently in case there are people who have an opinion but don't feel like writing a comment!
All of these pictures are stored on Picasaweb and I've set up a slideshow of them on the bottom of the left column. If you're interested, clicking on the entry will open another window where you can see more info, such as the date and location of the picture. Or check out this map showing where my pictures were taken.
Clicking on the post title should take you to the challenge where I've submitted the photo.
